You can take the girl out of California...

Sweet. If for some reason you can't find it anymore, I will happily trade as many cases as you would like for a few Sam Smith Winter Welcome Ales. The one store I know that has sold it every year has stopped carrying it, and I have yet to find a bar that serves it.
I know how that must feel—I am still waiting for the day when I can find decent Chinese food in a restaurant in New Zealand. Still searching after 31 years.
great brew
I know exactly what you mean. I was disproportionately excited when I saw Australian wine in a Californian supermarket... until I realised it was the crap stuff.

Anchor Steam on draft would be heaven. :)

California produces some very good beer. I must say that I've haven't tried Anchor Steam but I will put it on my list. Yod had suggested Rogue not too long ago and it was excellent. Arrogant Bastard: Yes. That's the one. Of course I've got a taste for strong IPAs and ESBs so it's hard to get too hoppy for me. Sierra Nevada IPA - Yes. too. Another good one. It's not as challenging as some of the other brews and that can be good at times.

Good deal. I love Anchor Steam. It was one of our favorites when I was living in Minnesota. I don't see it too often in the stores in Arizona. May have to embark on an Anchor Steam hunt this weekend.
Good choice. Anchor Steam and Stella Artois are my 2 all time faves.
Just got back from Sacramento, where I happily imbibed both SNPA and Anchor Steam in large quantities. We can get them where I live, but it's just not the same. Picked up a SNPA keychain, too!
