Spam Much?

So, I've been using my Typepad account instead of VOX, and whenever I come back over this way I have shit loads of spam comments to delete. Surely, VOX, if you delete a spam account, it should automatically delete all of the spam comments they've left as well?

And why is it if I delete a spam comment, it doesn't disappear from my recent comments box in my sidebar?

i set my vox post to "only neighbors can comment" and it helps

Here here! I have been PLAGUED with spam comments lately. When an account is marked as a spammer, why can't every comment they've ever made also be erased automatically? (seems like a no-brainer to me, which must mean that there is a heavy tech-barrier to rolling this out).

Do you know of a way to export your VOX posts into WordPress format? I want to back up by VOX content. Maybe even migrate away if this doesn't get fixed soon.

It's beyond ridiculous now. I've changed my commenting to neighbors only, but still it continues and I have to delete comments almost every day.

Six Apart doesn't even bother to remove the spammers from their own posts.

And I wish I knew an answer to Timmy!'s question. I've been looking and asking, but at this point I haven't found anyone who's has been able to find a way to export all of a Vox blog somewhere else, even to one of Six Apart's own formats like TypePad.

<sigh> They just don't care. As long as they are making money fixing the Amazon Conduit, the rest can go to hell...

there are pretty some options you can use to prevent spam, easily choose the opt to approve the comments yourself
