Congrats on the real job. New adventures. Ya
ok so apparently i dont know how to use my phone while out and about, i thought this was just a picture, wasn't until i got back and logged in on my pc that I saw I said "nice" to an entire post.... groovy.
It looks cold out.

Missed you!!

I'm totally envious about being able to Vox/edit on your phone. I can moblog via pix message but can't do anything vox web-based with mine. As soon as I get to vox, my phone crashes - and gives me a message to "reboot" it (power down). I don't know what's up with that. I try it every couple of weeks, in case anything has changed, but always get the same results.

Anyhooo... I hope the conference goes well. I think you're the perfect example of "modern day feminism" which, to me, means little more than women being independent and strong... but not to the point of excluding men from their lives.

I look forward to the book review - and an update on the conference!

good stuff. Miss you. :)
Oh, thank heavens you're back!
Sometimes you remind me so much of myself. I thought I was a feminist until I took my first feminist theory class - the people were so scary I had to reconsider for a long time. I'm back to embracing my feminist roots, but will always be traumatized by the experience. For example, I was told by another student to "Shut the fuck up haole (white) bitch, stop trying to oppress my culture." Because I suggested child abuse was a human issue, not a racial/cultural issue. The professor agreed with the student and responded to my assertion by saying, "Yes, you think much the way the predominately white feminists of the 1960's thought. We are subverting those ideas now in the face of that kind of biased privilege. They had good intentions but they were wrong."
